The All-on-4® Difference

All-on-4®: A Fixed, Stable Option

Our dentists use All-on-4® and All-on-6 techniques to provide a fixed, stable restoration. By strategically placing four to six implant posts, we create a secure structural foundation for a permanent denture. While these techniques maximize available bone, we perform bone grafting when necessary to support the long-term stability of your new smile.

  • FDA-cleared Implants & Advanced Full-Arch Techniques.

Your options

The right foundation for your anatomy.

Your 3D CBCT scan shows how much bone you have — and which approach gives you the most stable result.

All-on-4®: A Fixed, Stable Option

Four strategically angled implants support a fixed full-arch bridge — often avoiding bone grafts by using the bone you already have.

All-on-6 or All-on-X

Utilizes additional implant posts (six or more) to distribute biting force across a wider area, providing enhanced structural stability in cases of lower bone density.

Snap-On Overdentures

An implant-supported, removable prosthetic. It "snaps" securely onto two to four implant posts, providing significant improvement in stability and chewing power compared to traditional "suction-based" dentures, while remaining a non-fixed option.

The Triage & Procedural Flow

Your Path to a Life Restored

A stable foundation starts with digital precision. Your full arch journey follows a thorough clinical sequence:
  1. 1

    Comprehensive Exam

Digital intraoral scans and 3D CBCT imaging map your specific anatomy.

  2. 2

    Guided Surgery

We utilize Advanced Guided Surgery to place your tilted and standard FDA-cleared Neodent® implant posts with micron-level accuracy.

  3. 3

    Bone Regeneration

If necessary, we perform immediate bone grafting or sinus lifts to ensure robust implant stability.

  4. 4

Same-Day Temporary Teeth (When Your Bone Allows)

When clinically possible, you can receive your first temporary fixed prosthetic in a single day, allowing you to go home with functional, natural-looking teeth.

  5. 5

    Final Restoration

Following a careful recovery phase where your gums and bone fully integrate, we perform a 3D scan (no messy traditional impressions) to design your custom Zirconia fixed bridge for ultimate durability and aesthetics.

Patient Consultation

Candidacy, recovery & sedation

Your safety and comfort are our priority. During your consultation, we discuss the essential realities of Full Arch Implants:

Candidacy

Patients must meet strict health criteria and have sufficient bone density (which we maximize with the tilted implant technique) to support the procedure.

Recovery

This is extensive surgery requiring a recovery phase of 4–6 months to ensure successful osseointegration (implant-to-bone integration) of the healing foundation.

IV Sedation

For adults 18 and older, we offer IV sedation during the implant placement surgery, after a review of your medical history, allowing you to rest comfortably with minimal anxiety throughout the process.

The Outcome

Fixed Teeth, Planned for the Long Term

Implant-supported full arches don't just restore teeth; they restore quality of life. Unlike dentures that slip and limit your diet, All-on-4® and related solutions stimulate the jawbone to prevent bone loss, so you can eat, speak and laugh with fixed teeth that don't slip.

  • Stable, long-term support that helps protect your jawbone.

Full-arch pricing

Clear ranges before you decide.

Fees depend on the number of implants, bridge material (acrylic or zirconia) and whether extractions or grafting are needed. You get a written fee after your consultation.

Sedation options

Nervous? You can relax through it.

Laughing gas helps with shorter procedures, and IV sedation helps adults (18+) through longer surgery. Both are offered only after a careful review of your medical history.

Frequently Asked Questions

Full Arch Implants: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about All-on-4, All-on-6, costs, recovery, and candidacy for full arch restorations.
What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6?
All-on-4 uses four strategically placed implants — including tilted posterior implants — to support a full arch of fixed teeth. All-on-6 (or All-on-X) uses six or more implants to distribute biting force across a wider area, providing extra structural stability when bone density is lower. Your 3D CBCT scan determines which approach is best for your anatomy.
How much do All-on-4 implants cost in Houston?
Full arch implant restorations at Texas Dental Center typically range from $18,000 to $26,000 per arch depending on materials (acrylic vs. zirconia bridge), the number of implants, and whether bone grafting is needed. We provide a clear, written estimate after your consultation and offer CareCredit and other financing options.
Can I get teeth the same day as my implant surgery?
Yes. With our 'Teeth in a Day' All-on-4 protocol, you can leave the office the same day with a fixed temporary bridge. You'll wear this functional, natural-looking prosthesis during the 3–6 month healing period while your final, custom-milled zirconia bridge is fabricated.
How long do All-on-4 dental implants last?
The titanium implant posts are designed for long-term use, and large studies report that about 95% or more of implants are still in place after 10 years (Howe et al., J Dent 2019); your result depends on your health, bone, smoking and home care. The fixed bridge typically lasts 15–20+ years before it may need refurbishment. Annual maintenance visits and good home hygiene are essential for long-term success.
Is the All-on-4 procedure painful?
Local anesthetic numbs the area, and optional IV sedation (adults 18+) helps you relax. Swelling, bruising and soreness for several days are common and are usually managed with over-the-counter pain medication. Recovery varies from person to person.
Am I a candidate for full arch implants if I have bone loss?
Most likely, yes. The All-on-4 technique was specifically designed to maximize available bone, often eliminating the need for bone grafting by using tilted posterior implants. For more advanced bone loss we may recommend All-on-6, zygomatic implants, or staged grafting. A 3D CBCT scan during your consultation gives us the answer.

Like any surgery, this treatment has risks, including pain, swelling, bleeding, infection, nerve injury that can cause numbness, sinus problems with upper teeth and, for implants, implant failure. Your dentist reviews your specific risks, benefits and alternatives with you before treatment. Actual results may vary.
