How a walk-in visit works.

    Call ahead if you can

A quick call lets us hold the next open urgent slot and get your paperwork started before you arrive.

  2. 2

What to bring with you.

Photo ID & insurance card

If you have dental insurance, bring the card so we can check your benefits while you wait.

Medicines & allergies

A list (or photo) of the medicines you take and any allergies helps us treat you safely.

Broken pieces

Bring any broken tooth pieces, a crown that came off, or every piece of a broken denture in a clean container.

Someone to drive

If you think you may need sedation for an extraction, bring an adult who can drive you home.

Dental emergency?

In pain right now? Here's what to do.

Tap what's happening for a quick first-aid tip, then call — we keep room in the schedule for emergencies Monday through Saturday and see most patients the same day when it's clinically possible.

Call nowMon–Fri 8 AM–6 PM · Sat 8 AM–3 PM

Call 911 or go to the ER if you have trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling that is spreading toward your eye or neck, or a high fever with facial swelling.

What to do right now

Rinse with warm salt water, gently floss around the tooth, and hold a cold pack on your cheek. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help — never put aspirin directly on the gum.

Call about a toothache

No surprises

What a walk-in visit costs.

You get a written estimate before any treatment begins — no surprise walk-in fees. Most PPO insurance plans are accepted and we file the claim for you, and $0-down monthly financing is available for larger treatment such as extractions with implants or dentures. Call (832) 831-9101 and we'll confirm your exam and X-ray fee before you come in.

On your way? Call and we'll get ready for you.

Questions

Walk-in and open-today questions.

Is there a dentist open today near me in Houston?
Texas Dental Center at 9801 Bissonnet St Ste K is open six days a week — Monday to Friday 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 3 PM. We're closed on Sunday. Call (832) 831-9101 to confirm today's next available urgent slot.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
Yes. We do our best to see walk-ins for dental emergencies the same day, but availability isn't guaranteed. Calling first is faster because we can reserve the next urgent slot and prepare your paperwork before you arrive.
How long will I wait as a walk-in?
It depends on how busy the schedule is that day and how urgent your problem is. Calling ahead is the best way to shorten the wait — we'll tell you the likely timing before you leave home.
Do you see emergencies on Saturday?
Yes. We treat urgent dental problems on Saturdays from 8 AM to 3 PM. Hospital ERs generally can't perform dental treatment.
Should I go to the ER or a walk-in dentist?
Hospital ERs can prescribe antibiotics and pain medication but can't extract a tooth, drain a dental abscess or repair a broken tooth. A walk-in dentist treats the cause on the same visit. We're a dental office, not a hospital emergency room: for trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling spreading to the eye or neck, uncontrolled bleeding, high fever with facial swelling or a head or jaw injury, call 911 or go to the nearest ER.
Can you pull a tooth the same day I walk in?
Often, yes. If the tooth can't be restored and you're medically cleared, we can perform the extraction during the same visit and then talk about replacement options.

We're here to help
