Gulfton moves along Bissonnet Street and the Hillcroft Transit Center, and a lot of our patients already pass that intersection on the way to work, school pickup, or a bus connection. ZIP codes 77081 and 77074 sit in that corridor. Texas Dental Center is at 9801 Bissonnet St Ste K, Houston, TX 77036, about an eight-minute drive from the transit center, so the clinic is on the same street many neighbors already ride or drive.

The stories we hear from Gulfton are often about delay. A tooth came out two years ago and the space was tolerated. A partial stopped fitting. Chewing moved to the other side until that side hurt too. An implant plan has to start from today's bone, not from the month the tooth was lost. One remaining gap with solid neighbors can still be a single implant and crown. Several missing teeth, or teeth that are loose together, may need a full arch. We say which one the mouth supports after the exam, not before.

English and Spanish are both used at the front desk and in the operatory. Dr. Amir Mofid, DDS (General Dentist), Dr. Azadeh Khorram, DDS (General Dentist, on select days), and Dr. Rosecler Marmentini, DDS, MS (orthodontic specialist) practice at this location. Call (832) 831-9101 if you want the first visit booked around a bus schedule or a shift. We would rather set a realistic series of appointments than pretend an eight-minute ride makes surgery and a final tooth the same afternoon.

Dental Implants for Gulfton.

For Gulfton patients, CBCT 3D imaging is how we see what waiting has done to the bone. A site that has been empty for years is often narrower than a socket that was treated soon after the extraction. The scan lets us decide whether a single implant can still hold a crown or whether the ridge needs grafting before any post goes in. When the neighbors are sound and the volume is adequate, we place the implant, ask you to favor soft foods while the gum closes over one to two weeks, and wait for osseointegration, commonly three to six months, before the final crown. If a graft is part of the plan, add healing time before that crown date is real.

A full arch is considered when too many teeth are failing to rebuild them one crown at a time. Several implants support one fixed prosthesis. A provisional set of teeth may carry you through daily meals while the implants integrate, and the final arch is made after stability, frequently in the three-to-six-month range if grafting is limited. Because the office is about eight minutes from the Hillcroft Transit Center, those checks can be paired with a trip you already make on Bissonnet. The biology does not speed up to match the bus clock.

Local questions

Dental Implants in Gulfton: your questions.

I use the Hillcroft Transit Center. Can I get to you from there?
Yes. From the Hillcroft Transit Center the office is about an eight-minute drive along Bissonnet to 9801 Bissonnet St Ste K. If someone is dropping you off, ask them to use that address. We are open Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, and closed Sunday.
I have ignored a missing tooth for years. Is it too late?
Not automatically. Waiting can narrow the bone, which is why we start with CBCT 3D imaging instead of guessing. Some Gulfton gaps still accept a single implant and crown. Others need a graft, or a full arch if many teeth are failing. The scan tells us which description fits your mouth.
What is the difference between one implant and a full arch?
One implant replaces one root and later holds one crown, usually when the teeth beside the gap are healthy. A full arch replaces a whole row with a fixed bridge on several implants. They are different surgeries, different healing loads, and different numbers of visits. We will not sell you the larger plan for a single space.
How long if I need a bone graft?
A graft adds its own healing before or around implant placement, so the three-to-six-month integration window can start later than it would for a straightforward site. Gum comfort still often improves in the first one to two weeks after surgery. We put the crown or the final arch on the calendar only after the graft and the implants are ready, not on the day you call.
Can I book on Saturday if I work weekdays?
Saturday hours are 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. Weekdays are Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. We are closed Sunday, so Saturday is the weekend option. Call (832) 831-9101 and say you are coming from Gulfton after a weekday shift. We will look for a Saturday consult if the book is open.
